BASE survey is closed

We thank everyone who helped us circulate the survey and took the time to respond to it. Your help was invaluable and greatly appreciated.

Our survey is closed, and the data analysis process has begun.

We have received responses from a diverse group of international academics in Finland, representing almost every university and many universities of applied sciences.

The analysis shows that the majority of our respondents are early career scholars, many of whom are PhDs and postdoctoral researchers. We are also delighted to see a wide range of fields represented in our survey.

BASE: Building Academics’ Societal Impact is a pilot project that aims to improve our understanding of what kind of support and training might be needed by international academics in their work to increase their societal engagement, impact, and media visibility in Finland. This survey is a major step in our data collection, and we are very excited about the potential findings of our survey.

We will share the results with our stakeholders and the public once they are ready. Stay tuned for more information!
